Riedon Offers More Than Ten Models of Shunts

Riedon is now offering more than ten models of standard shunts.  In addition to our standard configurations, we are fully capable of providing custom and application specific options to meet customer needs or special performance requirements.

Our ability to customize standard models and provide application specific solutions means that we can conceivably offer a cross to any current shunt resistor currently manufactured by Empro or any other competitor.

This model features a ninety-degree design to facilitate tight physical constraints in the application and still provide adequate contact area to ensure a trouble free current termination.  Also note the sense terminal location prepared for bare wire solder connection.

This model has several unique features.  Primarily, this model features a bolt for wire termination that protrudes at an angle from the terminal block in order to minimize strain on a heavy gauge wire.  This part also utilizes a spindle to allow for the voltage sense wire to be wrapped and soldered ensuring a trouble-free connection.

This particular application required an unusually high sense voltage output of 10 volts in order to more easily interface with other components in the system.  The high voltage drop called for a design that would allow for liquid cooling in order to maintain a suitable physical size.
